When I started working

Purnendu Ghosh

When I started working, I did not know where my Manzil was. I did not know what kind of job I would be getting or what I was capable of getting. After a little struggle, I got a job. Once the initial euphoria of getting the job was over, work started to sink in.

How time flies! From abecedarian ignorance that precedes knowledge, I graduated to doctoral ignorance that comes after it.

I wanted to work in a bank and in the city where I grew up to remain with my family and friends. But I couldn’t fulfill my little ambition. I became a teacher and a researcher. That gave me so much. I hope I did not disappoint my students. My situation was somewhat similar to Raju, The Guide. People had faith that the guide could bring rain. Raju too started to believe that he could bring rain. The theory of evolution says that species that get used to their new environment survive. I learned this fundamental very early in life.
